Sourdough Rendezvous

There were some very odd events at the Sourdough Rendezvous that took place on the last weekend of February.  Indicitive of the north, no doubt.  There was a flour packing contest, axe throwing, log cutting, snow sculpturing, one dog pulls, Can Can dancers, hairy leg contests, and more.  It was a bitterly cold day with wind gusting along the river.  Too say it was cold is an understatement.  People braved the elements by not only dressing warm but by covering up almost every exposed piece of skin.  I was grateful for the heated tent that housed the entertainment.  Here are some bizarre moments, a look at some of the sculptures and even one of me.
This is the flour packing contest.  Quite the contraption to get them ready.
Even with just one bag of flour it was already 450 lbs.

I NEVER turn down a chance to cook and eat, a marshmallow.
Even when it is about -35 degrees.
